EFI has rolled out the latest update to its Fiery Command WorkStation, which it said helps customers to improve automation and job management to better handle growing numbers of short-run print jobs.
The manufacturer said Version 6.7 of the management software, which comes with all Fiery DFEs for cut-sheet and wide- to superwide-format printers, allows users to control all Fiery servers, either local or remote, to gain operational efficiencies and increase their productivity.
The new release features several enhancements. Automated job tagging using print presets now helps users to classify, find, and manage jobs faster. A new search tool, meanwhile, enables businesses to search for jobs across all their connected Fiery DFE servers.
In the new release, the Workflow Suite’s Fiery ImageViewer also has new controls for reordering, duplicating, or deleting pages, eliminating the need to step out of the tool for simple page-level edits.
Businesses can also make use of Fiery Hot Folders with Command WorkStation 6.7 to automate server presets and imposition templates. For variable data jobs, users can also significantly streamline job submission tasks with the integrated Fiery FreeForm Create product for designers and Command WorkStation users.
EFI Fiery vice president of sales and marketing John Henze said: “Getting many short-run, high-quality jobs done as fast as possible is in the Fiery DNA, and we have always been focused on the challenges of high-volume, short-run work.
“Our customers choose Fiery because it excels in this area, and this newest Command WorkStation release gives customers even more of what they want.”
Version 6.7 is available as a free upgrade to existing users of Fiery Command WorkStation.
